Vetzone

Part of the fun of being a web developer is that you get introduced to industries and businesses you never knew existed. Vetzone is one of those businesses.

Vetzone is a "group buyer" for independent veterinary practices throughout Ireland. Members of this buying group get the power of purchasing animal medicines in bulk at lower costs, a benefit usually reserved for larger "chain" veterinary practices.

Daniel in Vetzone approached me to help him build a private ordering platform that would let his members order all of their medicines & products through a single unified portal.

In the past the vets would have to jump from website to website, partially ordering products from a number of different wholesalers. While frustrating for the vets, this also made it very difficult to gather data and accurately report back to manufactures to negotiate prices.

I helped Vetzone build a custom web application for the members to use, centralising all wholesalers products under one portal. Now, the vets can order everything in one place and Vetzone can use the data to get better deals.
